So, what’s the deal with descriptive text? Well, it's that kind of text we use to describe people, places, things, or animals in detail. You know... when you’re explaining how your favorite artist looks, or describing your dream vacation spot 🌴🎨 Sounds simple? It kind of is — but there's a fun structure and purpose behind it, and today we’ll dive into all of that together!

📘 Descriptive Text

Definition:
Descriptive text is a type of text that describes a person, place, animal, or thing in detail. It helps the reader imagine what something looks, sounds, feels, or even smells like 🎨

🎯 Purpose:

To describe something or someone clearly, so the reader can picture it in their mind.

🧱 Structure:

1. Identification → Introduces the object being described

2. Description → Describes parts, qualities, or characteristics

✍️ Language Features:

• Use of adjectives (beautiful, tall, cute)

• Use of simple present tense

• Focus on specific details

💡 Example (short):

My Cat
I have a cute cat named Luna. She has soft white fur, blue eyes, and a small pink nose. Luna loves to sleep on my bed and play with a ball of yarn. She is very friendly and playful.
