Her older sister, Purbararang, was jealous of her beauty and kindness. One day, when the king left the palace, Purbararang accused Purbasari of doing evil magic and sent her away to the forest.

In the forest, Purbasari met a magical monkey named Lutung Kasarung. He helped her survive and built a beautiful place for her to live. Every day, Lutung brought her food and took care of her. Slowly, Purbasari became happy again. She didn’t know that Lutung was actually a cursed prince with magical powers.
One day, Purbararang came to the forest and challenged Purbasari to prove who was more beautiful and worthy to become queen. With the help of Lutung’s magic, Purbasari’s skin became clear and her beauty shined. Purbararang was shocked and furious. She also challenged Purbasari to choose a better fiancΓ©. Purbasari chose Lutung Kasarung.
Suddenly, Lutung Kasarung transformed into a handsome prince. Everyone was amazed. It turned out he was a heavenly prince sent to help Purbasari. Purbasari became queen, and she ruled the kingdom with kindness. Purbararang regretted her actions. The people of Pasir Batang lived happily ever after under Purbasari’s rule.
